Looking for a Powerwall Alternative For Your Customers? Install NeoVolta

Solar energy storage is starting to shift from a luxury to a necessity, and an increasing number of homeowners are realizing that their panel-only systems won’t cut it anymore.

Perhaps the most popular option on the market right now is the Powerwall, a lithium-ion solar battery that’s gained considerable traction. However, it’s widely known that lithium-ion batteries like the Powerwall pose fire risks due to thermal runaway – and when it comes to the home, no risk should be taken. Hence the need for a Powerwall alternative to keep your customers safe and secure.

At NeoVolta, we know that your homeowner clients deserve the safest, longest-lasting option available – which is where the NV14 comes into play. Along with posing no thermal runaway and danger to your customers, NeoVolta’s NV14 solar battery ships in under two weeks, and lasts 50% longer than li-ion competitors.

Learn more about the NV14 and why its fire-safe design, rapid shipping, AC/DC coupling, and longer life cycle render it the preferred Powerwall alternative for solar homeowners.

A Safer, Longer-Lasting Powerwall Alternative

No Thermal Runaway, No Fire Risk

As you may know, lithium-ion batteries pose a risk for thermal runaway or flammability. This is seen in the stories of li-ion-powered electric vehicles catching fire while on the road and endangering both drivers and pedestrians. To keep your homeowners safe and assured of their safety, you need a Powerwall alternative with virtually no risk for combustion.

Enter NeoVolta’s NV14, a lithium-iron-powered solar battery that poses no thermal runaway. Its unique chemical composition is cutting-edge in the solar landscape and is gaining traction as the preferred battery type for home use. Safety is always the top priority, especially when it comes to where your customers eat, sleep, and gather.

Rapid Shipping & Installation

As an installer, you want your homeowner clients to reap the benefits of their energy storage as soon as possible.

Keeping your customers waiting for months on end could risk them backing out of the purchase, and likely won’t reflect well on your own business despite it being a manufacturing issue. This is likely what you’ll face as a Powerwall dealer: four-to-six-month delivery times on average, and oftentimes even longer.

While a Powerwall may take as long as nine months to reach your customers’ doorsteps, NeoVolta’s NV14 is typically delivered in under two weeks – and oftentimes the same day. Due to low stock availability and delivery bottlenecks, many homeowners are opting for a Powerwall alternative that they can use immediately, rather than months down the line.

NeoVolta’s NV14 is also a breeze to install. It usually takes less than a day to set up unless there’s additional electrical work to be done.

AC/DC Coupled = No Solar Required

Most solar battery backups are only AC-coupled, meaning they require DC solar to be

inverted to AC current prior to the battery or energy storage system (ESS). This approach

is inefficient and costs considerably more than NeoVolta’s approach, which is both AC and

DC coupled.

AC-coupled systems invert DC solar panels prior to the ESS. This requires an inversion

which decreases efficiency and adds $3,000 or more in cost to a typical install. The ESS

inverter must then invert this AC back to DC to charge the battery system. Excess AC Solar

power is returned to the Main Service Panel / Utility for a Net Energy Metering (NEM)

credit. Then, upon sunset, the ESS inverter converts DC battery power to AC to power the

Home.

DC-coupled systems take in the DC solar and use it to charge the battery system. This

approach is more efficient and is more cost effective. When the ESS battery system is full,

then this DC solar is inverted to AC for home use and/or returning excess solar to the

Utility for a NEM credit. Upon sunset, the DC battery is inverted to AC to power the home.

NeoVolta’s inverter is both AC coupled, DC coupled, and can accept both AC and DC solar at

the same time. NeoVolta can also charge the batteries directly from the grid, which is

extremely useful when the weather is not cooperative.

50% Longer-Lasting Than Li-Ion Competitors

The NV14 also shines as a preferred Powerwall alternative thanks to its long life cycle, lasting 50% longer than lithium-ion batteries on average.

To put it into perspective, the Powerwall and other li-ion batteries last 4,000 cycles on average, or about 10.95 years. Compare this to NeoVolta’s NV14, which lasts 6,000 cycles and 16.5 years on average, and you begin to see the marginal differences between the two investments.

As an installer with a roster of homeowners who depend on your consultation, you likely want to offer the longest-lasting option. With the NV14, you can rest easy knowing your customers will be taken care of for years to come.

NeoVolta’s NV14: The Preferred Powerwall Alternative
